How to kill an hour
(If you've already been to this site before, then sorry. I just heard about it for the first time yesterday.)
- Go to www.gizoogle.com
- Enter a FULL web address in the text field (include the http:// before the address. blogs work great, use your own site if you have one)
- Click "Gizoogle It"
- Read the resulting translation
- Laugh
- Repeat with other sites
- Blog about it
Important Note: Step 6 should happen automatically. If not, then this may not take an hour. Now that I think about it, it didn't actually take a full hour for me. More like 35-40 minutes. Pretend like the title said "How to kill 35-40 minutes." I could change it, but I think it kind of looks nicer as "How to kill an hour."Once I got past the initial humor, it just boggled my mind that someone went through so much trouble to make a site that translates text for fun. I bet the creator of that site was supposed to be studying at the time.Also, it doesn't work great with every site (some not at all).

There was much hilarity to be found in this site.Truly,have to contemplate 1)the person who first learned Snoop Dogg so well as to translate regular english into his vernacular and 2) the friendly computer programmer able to translate his friend's strange second language into a Google-knockoff. They were very likely college roommates cramming for that last final...or they were just cubicle workers like the rest of blogland, looking for a way to ignore the piles on their desk.

It is OK for white folks to enjoy this, jon. As far as reading like Dave Chapelle, that depends on who can hear you at the time. If you're by yourself, then that's fine. A safer dialect may be to read it like Chris Rock as "Pookie" in New Jack City, or as the guy who played "Ezal" in Friday. When you're imitating a drug addict, it tends to make you sound more crazy, which is less likely to offend anyone who might overhear.
