Milestone awards
Over the past week, a couple of milestone numbers have been reached here at omarphillips.net.
First, I passed 2000 visits at some point earlier in the week. The problem is, I have no idea who the 2000th visitor was. I had a prize for that person, but nobody mentioned it was them. If it was you, and you're going to try to claim it now, you're too late. Your prize has been forfeited. It's a shame too, because the 2000th visitor was going to get a pre-release version of Vole Trapper: the board game.
- The vole got it on with your girl/man. Go back 4 spaces.
- The vole framed you for murder. Go back 10 spaces.
- The vole was dealing crack on your property. Go back 2 spaces.
- YOU HAVE TRAPPED THE VOLE!
- The vole stole your identity. Go back 5 spaces.
- The vole crapped in your garage. Go back 1 space.
- Just missed! Stay in the den and try again.
- The vole gave you syphilis. Go back 6 spaces.
The other major milestone is that this blog received its 250th comment this morning. (Note that the 200th comment was not considered a milestone, mainly because it was left by me.) The 250th comment was left by none other than cadiz12. For her, I've got this nice commemorative plaque.

I have faith in the US Postal Service though. Expect to see it any day now.

I'm getting ready to celebrate a few milestones of my own. I'm anxiously awaiting my 179th comment not posted by me. (I'm about 153 away) and then of course, my 381st visitor. (only 377 more to go there!) Once I hit those, some sort of confetti celebrations will happen I'm sure. That plaque for Cadiz12 is pretty sweet. I'm very jealous, specially since it could have been me, but at the time, I couldn't think of anything to say. Mostly I was just making farting noises with my armpit, but that didn't seem appropriate for the post. I've learned my lesson.

i'm so honored! not to be snotty, but doesn't my name look so pretty in script? see, staying up till 5:30 a.m. on a school night does pay off, ma. don't worry. usps will find me. after they get through the first 11. but just in case they don't, can you hold on to my plaque? i will definitely be coming to collect it when i attend your i-killed-the-vole afterparty, omar.

I would play the vole game, especially if there was an online version... hehe. Joy.

jon - best of luck in reaching those milestone numbers. It really does give you a warm feeling inside. If you could have accurately typed out the sound of farting noises in your armpit, I think that would have been worthy of some sort of prize. Probably not the plaque though.cadiz - The name does look nice, yes. (Though 1gloriousconundrum is one of my favorites, I secretly feared that she was going to be #250 and that I was going to have to fit that.) And the afterparty, an excellent idea. I like where your head is at. In case it does get returned to sender, I will certainly hang onto it until then.ripsy - Welcome! Don't think I haven't investigated the possibility of an online version... The hold-up right now is I'm not sure how to actually have the vole give someone syphilis over the internet.

How! How did I miss my moment! It would have been the biggest plaque ever! I am always cheated.I just sent my own little package to miss Cadiz12:"You stole my moment. Prepare to be stalked." (You may want to open the package in a large field with protective clothing - I hate clutter.)BTW, Omar, the hospital thanks you for the vole game. It's a big hit. Our kids don't get enough toys that mention syphilis - it's been one of my 'causes' since coming here...kids should be well-informed about the true dangers of the world, like the vole.

jasmine - I know my way around in Photoshop, but I want to make something clear: every image on this site is 100% real.glo - So glad to hear the kids like the game. Knowing that the kids laugh and learn while playing my game, it's what keeps me going.

oooh, another chance to get out the riot gear for a trip to the mailbox. (besides playing that russian-roulette round in the 'vole's den.') good luck, 1glorious, i've started my ninja training and may be tricky to track.
