List is a 4-Letter Word
Here are 101 things about Omar. (That's right, 101. I did you one better.) #101 is pretty fun though. It'll make you forget all about how I made you waste your time by reading the first 100 and how I one-upped you. In true omarphillips.net fashion, I also had to find some cutting-edge way to do this so that you don't have to scroll a mile down to comment. You're welcome. And enjoy.

Good on you, omar. I couldn't agree more with #1.Has everyone done their list now? Are we done with the lists? Won't we all be happier when the lists are done? I mean, the lists are great. But the writing of the lists is killer.

I just did my list. WOOT!I love lists - they appeal to my anal side.

Before I even read the list, let me mention how thrilled I am with the poll question. Guess how I voted...

Now finished the list - Omar, the turtles were WRONG (hilarious, though). So, do you like sports? JK. That's the kind of joke I make that causes my intelligent family members to roll their eyes and take the conversation to another room.Anyway, nice to know you.

I had mentioned in a previous comment that if I did one of these, it would have to be relatively tame. This is pretty tame, nothing revolutionary. glo - Were you the one who voted for Hugh Beaumont? Was it because he was hard on the Beaver last night?I mentioned the turtles in a comment on Jasmine's blog, so I wanted to somehow incorporate them.cate - Writing of the lists is killer. Except for justanothersarah, who pounded hers out in a half hour.

Oh, and sorry glo. I had to say something about the Beaver. In fact, the sole reason Hugh Beaumont was on the list is so I could say something about him being hard on the Beaver. I'm just happy that someone else brought it up, so I didn't have to make up some reason to do it.

hehe... hard on the beaver...You crack me up!

love the list, omar. when are you going to have some kind of cool interactive beatboxing thing on omarphillips.net? i'll wait patiently.you're making me want to put my list up. but let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Easily the most complete list I've ever seen. (mine totally lacked the turtles) That's why omarphillips.net is so cutting edge. As a fellow sports nut (and I love everything, even all the obscure stuff on the deuce) I can appreciate the love. I often describe myself as 90% sports, 10% everything else. I too have spent many hours with MaddenXX. My old roommate and I had perfected a two man technique on defense for Madden 2000 that allowed me to gather 94 sacks on one season with him getting over 200. It was both ridiculous and amazing. He always had more because the QB inexplicably rolled out to his side every time, so he would always get their first. We played that and Tiger Woods to no end.

It started during Omar's list...the strange sensation that I had done this all before...then Jon posted and I saw with clarity: I was back in the family basement with my 2 brothers and the only available TV had Nintendo sports on it. Oh, yes. I can talk intelligently about ALL Nintendo sports games because for 10 years, that's the only chatter I heard after 8 pm (when the 'rents went to their corner and allowed the kids to misbehave).

How I left Hugh Hefner off the poll list, I don't understand. My apologies, Hef.

Dude, curling shoes? You curled? and, with your wife? I can't decide if that's the coolest thing i ever heard of or...um....something else..

i knew you were a computer genius of sorts, and a t.v. fanatic but who knew you were such a jock?!i should have expected the turtles, but i totally didn't an i'm obsessed, yes OBSESSED with the fact that you mentioned it and then put them up there. i thought those turtles were going to live and die in memory only and there you go...putting the thing on the computer and somehow finding a way to let us view it. i'm astounded by your computer skillz...and your num-chuck skills (i dont' think i spelled that right at all but who cares...)...

Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you, are you familiar with X10 Modules? My dad has been playing with them, and he currently has one of his computers set up as a server and he has a lamp on his giant tower of old useless computers that he runs linux on, and he's got the X10 module set up so that he can turn that light on and off from anywhere in the world via a web browser. He just types in his IP address, enters the password, clicks on or off, and the light follows instructions. He likes to do this, often times while sitting a mere two feet away from said lamp. I think it's easily one of the coolest things I have ever witnessed. I've convinced him that he needs to learn some script so that web enabled cell phones can log on and turn the light on and off. I get giddy just thinking about it, is that wrong?

cadiz - Thanks. As if I don't spend enough time on the computer, now you had to go put that interactive beatbox thing in my head. Stay tuned.jon - Some of the super-geeks I work with use those X10 modules. For everything. The worst of them is this one guy can control every light and his thermostat remotely as you described. Plus he has that TiVo service that allows you to control that remotely as well. He tops it off by doing all this controlling from the web browser on his cell phone. I simultaneously hate him and want to be him.17 - Let me help make the decision - It IS the coolest thing ever. It really is pretty fun. Dangerous too. I saw a lady fall and break her arm, it was gross. Danger makes lots of things better.jasmine - Soccer and hockey, OK. But even I don't think golf and curling qualify me to be called a jock. And yes, you should have expected the turtles. I can't tell a story like that and then not back it up.

omar, i only put that out there because i have supreme confidence that you can make it happen. and even if it takes a long time, i will cabbagepatch with joy. i'm all about the delayed gratification.soccer players are the coolest. is it a requirement that they have funky hair?
Glo said:
What I have since discovered? Omar is definitely the most easy-going person I've ever met. And I think you should probably add 'amazingly nice' to that list somewhere.

Please note #8 talks of grammar frustrations, whilst #38 ends a sentence with a preposition. I'm just saying. Also, regarding #56, are you suggesting that you did not know Photoshop so well when you became our go to guy at Picture Magician?
