Movie Review
I may have said this before, but I don't tend to see very many movies. Everyone around me is always referencing movie quotes that I don't understand, going to midnight shows, etc. The last thing I saw in the theater was Episode III in May. Before that, whatever Harry Potter movie it was that came out in the summer of 2004.* I will, however, occasionally get sucked into watching a movie on TV.
In related news, I'm still inexplicably getting HBO.
So tonight, these two notable items converged. I was flipping through the channels. The Penn State football game had finished, the boy was in bed, and the wife was getting some scrapbooking done. I wasn't looking for anything in particular, I was just flipping. And I came across Catwoman on HBO. Now, if you haven't seen Catwoman, and you've been dying to do so but you're just waiting for verification that hell has frozen over completely, I should warn you that there are spoilers ahead.
(begin spoiler)
So here's what happens. (I'm a little fuzzy on the details of the first half hour, as I was still flipping between this and the Michigan/Northwestern game.) Halle Berry has long hair. Then, she gets killed. But then she gets revived by a cat. Then she cuts her hair, and she walks around with a swagger and a lot less clothing. Then there's something about toxic makeup. She gets framed for murder. Her cop boyfriend struggles with this. Then Sharon Stone admits that she did it, and that she will sell the toxic makeup. Then Sharon, wearing a sufficiently tight and revealing outfit, fights Halle, who is wearing a very tight and revealing outfit, to the death. Halle wins, Sharon dies. All the women are safe from the toxic makeup. Halle cartwheels and swaggers off into the moonlight, leaving the door open for a sequel.
(end spoiler)
So here's my review: It was boring. Then cheesy. Then predictable. Then AWESOME. And then it was over.

I'll take that as a "No, you shouldn't watch this drivel".
Keep the movie reviews coming Omar, you might just add years to my life.

By the way, just a friendly reminder, you've been AWOL from my blog for a while, and it would be nice if...
Ah, sod that...I want my cutting edge comments!

And oh! I just noticed the Halloween header. Mega jammin'. :)
I'm not purposely spamming you. Honest.

"Filling your hearts with fear?" Is that vole-related, or are you planning a Wiggles Extravaganza?
Haven't seen Catwoman, thanks for the warning. :)

Yeah, I didn't expect much from that movie. Mainly because Halle has the acting finesse of a wombat. Thanks, now I know it's crap.

Nadia - I don't know if I see enough movies to continue the reviews, but I'll do my best!
Nadia - Rectified!
Nadia - Thanks!
RaJ - Everything is vole related, in some way. And yeah, Catwoman. Yeah.
Viking - Neither did I. I only watched it because it was free. And I feel like I should be taking advantage of this free HBO, even if it is at the expense of me being able to claim I never saw Catwoman.

but even i knew that movie sounded silly. and i hadn't even heard about the toxic makeup.
but good for you about catching up with your movies.
Glo said:
Yeah. So. You never watch movies, then choose Catwoman.
That's it. The whole comment.
I said:
cadiz - Silly, unless you like cartwheels and swaggering.
glo - Catwoman chose me, glo. It chose me.

I got Catwoman as a birthday present and was sorely disappointed. Though... no, no, I can't even say that the tight clothes really rectified the situation for me.
