2000th contest rules
Since the previous comment contest, I have taken a little bit of criticism regarding the harshness of the rules. Additionally, I have also noticed some decreased enthusiasm regarding the contest, mainly because it seems as though one particular occasional reader, Cate, tends to win a lot.
In an effort to pacify the masses, the omarphillips.net 2000th comment contest has but two simple rules:
- The name you use on-blog, as of 11/16/2005, must not contain any of the following letters: C, A, T, or E.
- Residents of West Virginia are ineligible.

While that's great for the rest of us, isn't that like accusing someone that hits a lot of home runs of using steroids even if you know they don't?

Tends to win a lot?
I don't know what you're talking about.

Is Jym saying that Cate is on the juice? Or that she isn’t, but she sure looks like she is?
By the way, 90% of baseball players are taking steroids. Jose Conseco said it, and I have no choice but to believe it. He was a bash brother for goodness sake!! Plus, anyone that lets a ball bounce off his head and over the fence to give another guy a home run is ok in my book. Not only did he hit them, he gave them too. I think that’s commendable. You don’t often see that kind of sportsmanship anymore. Too many selfish players out there just trying to record an out. Makes you wonder what they’re teaching these kids in little league these days.

It's crazy I know but a persistent typo has been plaguing my on-blog name. The *correct* spelling has always been Rudiofipsig Jim.

First and foreward, I would like to thank all the other posters who made my victory possibility. I am not patient to post the others 1,999 necessary comment.
I like to think of this contest as a mountainous pile of people, with myself standing at the top.
Thank you.

Jon, I think Jym is saying that Cate's on the juice. Jym, I think that's a little harsh.
cate - Um, yes you do.
RiJ - My bad, I've been mistyping your name all along!
adam - You're ineligible, like, 4 times over.
cadiz - Rigged? I don't rig contests! At least, not important contests.
ka - I'm sorry, i tried to make the rules as fair as I could.

now, Syar is my real name. my on-blog name has been ominous and NOT settled on all this while....
Ah crap, it wouldn't matter if I changed it. It would be too much trouble to maintain until the actual win. even NOT Syar disqualifies me twice.
curses.
