Week-long Photo Assignment Review
Thanks to those who participated in the second omarphillips.net Photo Assignment. Between you and me, you guys are my favorite readers from now on. Don't tell everyone else, I don't want anyone getting jealous. Oh, and X, you're still OK also, since you were the only one who provided an acceptable excuse.

I'll give you two guesses as to which Phillips put the bottle of honey inside of the coffee mug. One hint is that it's the same person who put the coffee mug in with the spices. Another hint is that the person is under three feet tall. (by The Wife)

Chocolate mice from Harvard Square in Boston. So... Maybe not a fish, but it's some sort of creature. Right? Right? Wait, did I miss the point? (by Katie)
ed. note: No, Katie. You did not miss the point at all. Those chocolate mice ARE in fact out of place, because they are not in my belly.

What Sega Genesis "Royal Rumble" is doing collecting dust on top of the water softener in a corner of the basement, I will never know. (by Cadiz12)

Back from the beach! How about a bird that eats fish out of water? (by Sarah)
ed. note: I checked with the judges, and yes, it does count.

...In case it's not apparent that's Dora T. Explorer staring back at you.
Thanks for the excuse!
(by Radioactive Jam)

Another hint is that it's the person who fits that shoe. (by Omar)

Either Syar is carefully deceiving me by creating a 0KB file with a .jpg extension and PRETENDING to particpate, or she tried to particpate and something happened to the file during its time in cyberspace. She SEEMS sincere, but it's so hard to tell these days... (by Omar)

Crap, I forgot all about it... But Dora is a good one. I couldn't have beat that.

Dora's great. So is the H. That one has the most artistic look to it.

Proud to announce I did not participate. I wanted to....but I just didn't.

I think Dora gets it, I think any time you put a beloved child's cartoon character in a pickle jar, you win.

it's gonna be hard to get that pickle smell off dora. but hey, at least she'll be fresh.

Dear God, RaJ is torturing children's toys! When does the cruelty end!

Am I the only one who spotted the subliminal message in Jon's entry?

does jon's pic say love you karen? is karen the new girl, jon??
maybe mine can count as a fish out of water because its the only non-digital-camera picture in a pool of digital camera pictures.
I can pretend that's what I planned all along, but I did send it in really!! I don't know what happened. And now that I see everyone elses cool pics, I kind of don't ever want to show mine. but I'll send it to you, anyway, Omar. and you can decide if its worthy.
and hey, Jam, what's the spanish word for pickle?

My photo
Gmail has failed me. for the first time, but still failed me. I was planning this for Omar's eyes only since all ya'll are way better photographers than me, but what the hey. I'm nothing if I"m not reckless with my pride and self esteem.

Dagnabit!!! Missed another contest.
Anyway I do love Dora in the pickle jar. When exploring goes awry....

wow, way to go with the subliminal, jon. we're getting more clues about your lady; it's like a little game.
syar, i had a very similar problem with gmail last time, which is why i missed out on the first round. it was because i was too impatient and didn't properly wait for it to properly attach before trying to send the message. i have since been schooled, but just in case i sent it to omar via yahoo (you get notified when it's attached and i need the peace of mind).

I think Jon's message is the Da Vinci Code. Or possibly, "we buy to soy."
And Syar, no I don't know so... I'll bite. What's the Spanish word for pickle?
I love tasty words. Have I mentioned that lately?
Syar said:
thanks Cadiz, for the tip. I'll do that next time.
and Jam, I asked you seeing as you've submerged my main Spanish language teacher in pickles. I have nowhere left to go.
incidentally, its salmuera
Thank you, google. you leave me lost no more.

i LOVED these!
okay, i'll stop eating pancakes and try to play next time. even though i'm currently working 80 hour weeks...

Is it my fault if Dora doesn't know when or where to not explore? If there's such a thing as Explorers Anonymous, I'd say it's time for Intervention. Which makes me think of Finding Nemo.
*I'm* going to need intervention from these snack-triggering tasty words. Aside to Omar: please please PLEASE do not use 'chocolate'. Ever.
