If you're such a techno-junkie, why's your sidebar messed up?
Internet Explorer users might notice that the sidebar on (at least) the main page of this site is at the bottom of the page, instead of being at its appropriate location, on the side. I have no idea what caused this to change; it was in the correct spot one day, then not the next. I use Camino or Safari on the Mac and Firefox on my Windows computer, so I didn't notice a problem until I saw Glo's comment about the newly added profile disappearing.
Rather than making the effort to fix this one problem, I'm going the route of Viking and many others before me, and I'm writing my own code from scratch. Up until now, I've been using the MT default templates and then customizing them to look how I want. Apparently, that stopped working for me yesterday. And frankly, I'm a bit tired of trying to dig through the large CSS file (most of which is not necessary for me anyway) to find out what's wrong. So until I finish my obsessive quest to write my own HTML and CSS for this site, IE users will have to deal with the goofed up sidebar.
Then when I'm finished with my obsessive quest, you'll all have to deal with whatever I inadvertently prevent from working correctly.
I don't feel badly though, because you shouldn't be using IE anyway.

Let's hear it for being bilingual, and for NOT using IE!!!
I knew you were a genius.
By the way, I have given you the credit for my own website and for all the incredible things I am learning about how to break code!

I know nothing of which you speak Omar. I'm just here to smile, look pretty, and post dorky things that makes everyone else look real smart by comparison.

Yay for coding your own Template! I'd do the same, but I only know the basics, and would probably lead it to destruction. So I admire you immensely. But more than anything, because you don't use IE.

OOOOO, I like this. And I agree. No one should use IE. If you have a Mac, things will look extra-freaky. Then again, if you have a Mac you already know you wouldn't use IE. The initials match the gosh-awful place I live, the I.E. Don't do it!!

Omar, you keep raising the bar. Fortunately I'm still able to "keep up" because I convince myself it's a limbo contest instead of a vault. Everything looks really-- Gaah! That word! I knew I should have bought the powder!
Noooooooooooooooooooo!

You are awesome, O. I'm sorry I use IE, but I'm too old to understand words like CSS and Firefox. So thanks for accomodating us techno-impaired folk.

Wow! It looks fantastic! Your site should get messed up more often - I really like the new design, in case you couldn't tell....
ewww...do you actually eat monkeybutt? Or is this a new category of word verification?

Right, I was going to say, WHO is still using I.E.? Seriously.
Although Firefox sometimes eats my bookmarks and my homepage.

And you have an Omar PICTURE up. The world is changing, folks.

omar, is there anything to fix this sidebar IE thing other than writing the whole deal myself? I have been reading about this, since most people, unfortunately, seem to use IE for windows. I looked at mine from my daughter's windows pc and what a mess. Read a mention of not using the old "align" and instead "float" but I don't know what to do. Some css stuff that I don't know, I'm guessing. (Basic html person here.) Can we ever get people to lose their IE addiction? Everything could look better to them all over, not just blogs.
