Busted
"Wanna head out for lunch? I'll drive," I offered.
"Yeah, let's go."
We arrived at my car and I started it up. As I did, the Wiggles "Central Park, New York" poured from the speakers. (For those who are not familiar, here's an audio clip. Don't blame me when it gets stuck in your head.)
"Man, you're like that guy from the commercial, who is singing 'Wheels on the bus' in the car by himself!! What is this you're listening to?"
"It's the Wiggles, but my kid was in the car with me the last time I was driving, so that's why it's still playing," I replied.
(several minutes later)
"DUDE, you're a liar!! Your last trip in the car was your trip to work, and you didn't bring your kid to work! You WERE listening to that crap!"
Cars should come standard with a "passenger eject" feature.

I've been demanding this feature for quite some time.

oh and please tell me that you don't personally know if 'monkeybutt' is filed under the 'tasty word' category.

I have zero objectivity on this one. Let's just say I'm not likely to ever be a member of the Wiggles fan club. Although I must say the monkeybutt is growing on me.
So to speak.

Eject button... You're a genius!

Monkeybutt! Oh man, that's awesome! I also like the new look. It's just changing every day, like you have to keep us on our feet.
Also, there is no shame in loving the Wiggles. Embrace them, and you will be whole.
Except, you know, that whole brainwashing scheme.

G'day, squirrels!
onj - Indeed you did! You're a year ahead of me on that idea. In my next post, I'll be revisiting what you posted about last May...
cadiz - I don't mind the Wiggles, but I certainly don't jam to them while I'm in the car alone. At least, not on purpose.
RaJ - I hear they make a powder to help with that...
Viking - Not something that will hurt the passengers, just something renewable that gets them out of my car on demand. I don't think that's too much to ask.
Katie - Considering how much time it took me this weekend to rewrite it all, I won't be changing the template again for AT LEAST a week.

Don't worry, you're not truly gone until you start humming Wiggles songs to yourself-- without either the presence of the boy or the CD playing in audible range...

I have a feeling I'm glad my kids were young during a pre-Wiggles world. I'm sure I'd be hooked. I guess I shouldn't admit all the "other" groups' songs I still sing, though.

It stuck in my head for 2 years after my daughter stopped listening to the Wiggles. It's like family that visits and never goes away.........

Which is worse... the Wiggles or Wham jamming when someone gets in your car?
Not that I listen to Wham or anything, I was just wondering...

There's something admirable about the level of aerobic fitness that The Wiggles have achieved. Admit it Omar, can YOU point your fingers and do the twist while singing to a crowd of pre-schoolers and not lose your breath or fall over?

I tried to convince my brother to let us take him to The Wiggles on his 28th birthday. Was shocked when he refused. I find 'Fruit Salad' one of the greatest songs ever written.
