By the Numbers: Site Stats Edition
(Thanks to RaJ's Query This post, I've been doing some analyzing of my site stats from Google Analytics.)
Since June 1, 2006:
62 - Number of search terms including the word "vole" that led 119 people to omarphillips.net. (The most popular is the word "vole" by itself.)
106 - Number of search terms including the phrase "locker room etiquette" that led 270 people to omarphillips.net. (The most popular is that phrase itself.)
121 - Number of search terms including the words "steve" and "harvey" that led 303 people to omarphillips.net. (The most popular is "steve harvey bald".)
82 - Approximate number of countries from which someone accessed omarphillips.net.
51 - Number of US States (plus the District of Columbia) from which someone has accessed omarphillips.net.
2 - Number of visits from West Virginia, the lowest amount for any individual state. (In fairness to them, that's probably around 40% of all internet users in West Virginia, which I'm sure is the highest percentage for any state.)
361 - Number of visits from people who clicked on my link at cadiz12's site, the most from any non-search engine source. And speaking of her...
90 - Number of visits resulting from people searching for the phrase "gold club."
61 - Approximate percentage of visits by people using (or purporting to use) some version of Internet Explorer. 93% of those used version 6.
(2001 - The year Internet Explorer 6 was released.)
84 - Approximate percentage of visits by people using some version of Microsoft Windows.

I just wanted to be the first to comment, since you said I could be.
Nice stats. Maybe one day I'll have such big numbers, too.

Lia, all you'll need to do is write one post about how perfect Steve Harvey's hairline is. I've been resting on that laurel for over a year now.

How about the number of people accessing your site from Logan Airport while paying $7.99 to access the internet just to read your site while waiting for an airplane back to Rochester that is at least an hour behind schedule as of now?
Btw, I would be interested in how long the longest posted run on sentence has been.

Ooh, wiggles. I forgot about them.
105 search queries, 152 visits (that's why I missed them, because there's no real high instance of any one particular query).

Ah, the IE people... They're everywhere! Interestingly though, at my photoblog only 44% use IE. That's a whole different kind of people...

See. IE6 is still cool.

My still number one search word winner is: Kroger Sushi
Although, bra thief takes a close second.
I'm going to try to emulate your blog success, Omar, by constructing the perfect blog entry about cadiz and Steve Harvey stepping out on the side to grab a bite of vole casserole down at the country cookin kitchen restaurant, and then spending a romantic evening listening to the Wiggles Greatest Hits, and trying out toupees from Donald Trump's new line to cover Steve Harvey's bald head.

IE6 is NOT cool.
Foxfire and Safari all the way.

IE 7 will be pushed as an automatic Windows update sometime after November 1. It's better (than IE6), at least from a designer's perspective.
Welcome, angel07!!

Firefox is so picky. Everything on my blog looks normal, until I check it out on firefox, then everything is to the right or left. I don't know why I worry about firefox people sometimes.
