So yeah, this past week was kind of rough in the Phillips' household. I'll spare you most of the details, the short of it is that the boy was pretty sick and had a really high fever that lasted most of the week. Needless to say, there has been some crying, a lot of worrying and not a lot of sleeping going on around here.
The good news is that everything seems to be improving. Fever's been down for a couple of days, the sleep schedule is starting to get back to normal. As soon as everything gets back to normal, I'm going to be back to posting and commenting so frequently that you guys will be like, "wow, Omar's commenting and posting a lot lately!" Normally, you'd say something way wittier than that, but you'll be so shocked by it, that's all that will come out.
In the mean time, here's a scary picture of me for no reason at all:

My Omar, what big eyeballs you have.
This is the part where you say, "The better to see you with, my dear Infidel."
Yeah. The creeping crud has worked its way around our house for two weeks now. Kid #3 and kid #4 are the latest contestants on everybody's favorite program, "BARF-O-MANIA." I hope the little guy feels better soon. My 3 year old, Melody is the only unclaimed victim. I think germ viruses are frightened of her.

Whoa. If that weren't so freaky, I'd nominate it for a blog god...

Hope the boy's okay...it's good to see that your eyes haven't suffered from lack of sleep

Well I tried to comment, I really did. And then mt-something or other timed out, and my comment was gone forever.
And the blogrealm shuddered at the extent of its loss. And then it was okay again because seriously, one comment? Get a grip.

Glad things are settling down.

glad to hear that the boy's feeling better. i hope he'll be back to light-flipping and trash creating/eliminating again very soon.

When I first read Cadiz’s comment, for some reason, I thought of him getting back to “light-flipping” as him doing back flips and front flips, but to a lesser degree than his usual healthy self. You know, he’s in rehab and just working his way back. I have read the post about his light switch flipping habit and I knew what she meant, but still… I like to think of him flipping around the house… at any rate, hope the boy gets better soon. I don’t like it when children are sick, they need to be healthy and running around causing trouble.

Oooh, Blackberry comments. Yum!
That photo reminds me of someone, but I can't think of whom. Or, of whom I cannot think. Because it sounds cooler that way.
