Photo Assignment Review
Big thanks to those who participated in this latest photo assignment! After viewing what you all came up with, it confirmed a couple of things for me:
1) You all are pretty creative.
2) I don't know movies.
A few of them I only knew because of the filenames of the images you sent, or because you told me in your email. Some of the others? I have no idea. I'd offer up some guesses now, but I don't want to look publicly foolish when the answers are all obvious to you. "Um, Omar? There's no such movie as 'Orange Juice on a Book'." What the heck do I know?
In addition to those I mentioned in my previous post, I got (late) entries from Daniel, Nadia, NCS, and Becky. I'll suggest to Bruno that you guys should be spared, but he's his own man. He makes his own decisions.

WOW - Those pictures are great. Great job everyone.

Um... ok. I only got a few. Cars, Lion King, Transformers, A Fish Called Wanda, Joe Dirt, The Color Purple, The Mexican, 12 Monkeys, The Bone Collector, and my 3 of course...
I'm sure once I know what the others are then it'll become obvious. I know 2 of mine aren't obvious- they was more of a joke... Because I'm funny like that.
What do I win??

Here are my guesses
Gladiator(Or maybe Spartacus), Transformers, Joe Dirt, Cars, Bugs life(?), Lion King, ?,?,?, Bone collector(Very cool, i like the little guy he is cute.), Lord of the rings(?), A Fish called wanda, A Clockwork Orange, Duck Soup, (Mine), The Color Purple, The Mexican, Twelve monkeys(almost did this one), Money, The Fan, ?, ?, (Mine)

Ok, these are my original guesses without looking at any of the previous comments. Any similarities or likenesses to the previous comments is coincidental.
Spartacus (but gladiator makes sense too), Transformers, Joe Dirt, Cars, The Fly?, Lion King, ?, ?, ?, Mine (it's pretty sweet, right?), ?, A Fish Called Wanda, Clockwork Orange, ?, Toys?, The Color Purple, The Mexican, 12 Monkeys, The Color of Money?, The Fan, XXX (triple X?), 100 Cigarettes, ?.
@Jonathan, Thanks! It's a little known fact that OP.NET Photo Assignment rules require Bones to make an appearance in all of my shots. I'm nothing if not a little goody two shoes rule follower.

Since I know how little I know about movies, I don't even feel bad about how few I got:
?,?,?, Cars, A Bug's Life, The Lion King, ?,?,?,?,?,?, Clockwork Orange, (Duck Soup), (16 Blocks), The Color Purple, ?,?,?,?, XXX, ?,?.
The two in parantheses - I wasn't actually sure that they were movies, but the captions seemed right. And The Color Purple I only knew of because of the play.
Basically, three cartoons and XXX.
Lia said:
Oh, and the only one of them I actually saw? The Lion King.
Sarah said:
Although Spartacus and Gladiator both work for mine (the first in the line-up) they were not the movie I have in mind...
I said:
The BONE COLLECTOR! I never saw it, but I should have known that! I was Googling "Picking Up Bones" to see if it was a movie. I don't think it is, by the way, in case anyone wants to make a movie with that name.
I had never heard of 16 Blocks, which makes me feel better. I felt like I should have known the one with my name on it.

Nadia said:
I'm not even gonna try. I don't have Netflix. What's your excuse, 'Mar?
I said:
I don't have Netflix (anymore) either!
Everyone's still stumped by the last one, Jonathan (including me). Maybe "Orange Juice on a Book" wouldn't have been such a bad guess after all...
Tori :) said:
I'm a dork. I didn't name them in order...
And a couple of them I would have got right if I had known it was a movie- like The Fan, Bug and Duck Soup. Are those real movies?
Jonathan said:
Ok ill give you a hint, both of my pictures, and at least one other one in the group have something in common
Becky said:
hmmm. is the last one "above the rim"?
I said:
GOT IT!!! It's one that I've actually seen, and was one of my favorite movies for a long time. Good one, Jonathan.
Jonathan said:
Above the rim - Nope, but I can see where you got that from. Good guess.
daniel said:
the last one: Pulp Fiction
Sarah said:
I was going for The Italian Job for #1, not as good in hindsight as some of the suggestions.
Becky said:
oooooh, that's good. he's a crafty one, he is....
now. where do we stand on the muscle kid? has anyone figured that one out yet?
and "the color of money" is a great guess, but it isn't correct.
Jon said:
Damn... I have seen sixteen blocks... it was good. Omar, I thought you watched all movies with Mos Def in them? And I don't fault you for not having seen The Bone Collector, but we're talking about Denzel here... you should have at least heard of it. I'm going to have to deduct points off your over all OP.NET Photo Assignment score.
I said:
I've heard of the Bone Collector, but I had never seen it.
I think numbers 7, 8, and 19 are still yet to be correctly identified.
Also, there's a history of declaring a "winner" for each of these non-contest assignments, but from the comments, I'm not sensing that there's a clear winner.
I will say that the award for first entry submitted goes to Aubrey, a first-time participant. Congrats, Aubrey! Feel free to put this on your resumé.

In 7, if she had both arms up posing like that I would guess - "Young Guns"
Jonathan said:
Omar - Btw, Im really looking forward to a month of everyday blog posts. Please make sure you get to bed early tonight so you are all rested and ready to go!

oh man, i am so late getting over here. i would have loved to have taken a guess at all of these.
i love the pulp fiction picture and the quality of the "color purple" crayons shot is fantastic.
good job to ncs for guessing "bug" which is actually in theaters right now.
and i loved clockwork orange.
12 blocks was tricky because i was distracted by the letters on the blocks.
but, what is the muscle girl one? young guns?
this was tons of fun, thanks for letting me do it!
No Cool Story said:
Juice King.
Nah.
Tori :) said:
Jonathan you are good!! My muscley daughter was too embarrassed to do both arms, so I settled for one. They are "Young Guns" and "Young Guns 2." I know- I was stretchin' it a wee bit. :D
No Cool Story said:
Young Guns. Ah, I see it now.
Isn't 19 "200 Cigarettes"?
The last one, it's killing me, what is it? Pulp Fiction?

Note to self, next time don't place the title on my picture, it's funner that way

good lord, have i come late to the party. good to know i wasn't stumping anyone with mine, but there are some EXCELLENT entries! good work, people!
Jon said:
ok, this is eating away at my life, and as you know, I don't have much of that left anymore, so here are my final guesses for Becky's unnamed photo:
1. Dead Presidents (this is my best guess.)
2. Jerry Maguire (this is a guess that I like, but it's a bit of stretch.)
3. Tango & Cash (or, as I like to call it, the guess where I'm clearly grasping at straws...)
4. Money Train (this is where I've clearly just given up.)
Becky said:
jon- it's SINGLES.
:)
Jonathan said:
Becky, Thats great! Nice job
Jon said:
Becky, well done. I've tried to block that movie out of my memory and that is why I couldn't figure it out, but that was well done.
