Love is in the Air II

I typically try to wait until the start of February to get into Valentine's Day mode, but this year, I just couldn't wait. Love is in the air a little bit early this year. Besides, if my local grocery store can put up Christmas trees in early October, then I sure enough can start posting Valentine-related material on January 29th.

So grab that special someone and discuss your favorite nouns and adjectives over a hot cup of omarphillips.net MadLibs. Where it leads from there, well, that's up to you. Just remember that the room you're in isn't soundproof. I mean, if everyone can hear you laughing in there, they'll all want to come in to find out what's so funny. (What did you think I meant?! This is a family blog.)

More MadLibs

I'm at a loss for how to set up this latest edition of omarphillips.net MadLibs without giving too much information (and thus, leading you to choose certain words that might not make it as fun). Instead, here's a riddle:

A certain five letter word becomes shorter when you add two letters to it. What is the word?

Now go do some madlibs!

How about $.50 for those MadLibs?

Last week was my neighborhood's annual garage sale. Around 25 houses participated this year, and we drew quite a large crowd. This is why I've been away from the blogs a bit over the past week. I was helping to prepare and price our stuff the first few days, then I was haggling with senior citizens for the last few. It's been a busy week indeed.

As a treat for those readers who have stuck around, here's the next edition of omarphillips.net Mad Libs, based on a true story. Enjoy!

(Please use numeric characters only in the "numbers" fields. Also, pick numbers above zero. Thanks.)

Love is in the Air

It's February. And you all know what that means, right? Right? That's right, love is in the air, Hallmark is getting richer, and it's time for a special Valentine's Day edition of omarphillips.net madlibs! Snuggle up with that special someone in front of your computer screen, type in some words, then sit back and enjoy.

(As a side note, I rewrote the way I do madlibs, so that they're created in PHP instead of Javascript. Or, to put it in other words, I rewrote the blah blah blah, blah blah blah blah. It may look a little different, but it should work roughly the same. If you get any weird errors when you try it, send me a message at omar [at] omarphillips.net.)

Very Mad Libs

I originally had pyrotechnics planned for this 300th post event, but funding fell through. You'll have to settle for a new edition of omarphillips.net MadLibs instead.

Break out the band-aids for MadLibs II

You have waited since May 19th. You've had trouble sleeping due to the anticipation (or, if you're one of the 35%'ers, you hate me and you slept fine).

Wait no longer, my blog friends. Break out the band-aids. I happily bring you MadLibs: The omarphillips.net Edition II.

Again, post your results in a comment if the story comes out good! Enjoy, and sleep well.

Perhaps my finest work

Former Intern Andy's third to last post on I'm an Intern in New York was, as he claimed, the most ambitious blog post ever. It was pretty funny also.

His post gave me an idea. At the time, I didn't have the technical know-how to make it happen, so I let it go. Until this week. As I mentioned, the creativity has been flowing. That flowing creativity was enough to compel me to learn enough javascript code to bring you this very post. For a guy who was a Finance major, this was quite an ordeal.

Important Note: Have you ever done something that was relatively mediocre, but because of the amount of time you spent on it, you act like it's the best thing ever? Me too.

Former Intern Andy's "Choose Your Own Adventure" post made me think back to some of my book-related elementary school memories. Some of my favorite moments were when me and my friends were doing "Mad Libs." I love me some Mad Libs.

With that, I bring you (Unofficial) Mad Libs: omarphillips.net Edition. I hope you spend several hours enjoying it. If not, lie to me.
